Sibomana Hassan is a seasoned public health professional with over 15 years of extensive experience in Rwanda Health sector. He specializes in Monitoring & Evaluation and has astrong track record in implementing Maternal, Child and Community Health interventions. Hassan’s career spans various pivotal roles within the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC) and hospitals, including positions such as immunization epidemiologist senior officer, EPI Manager, and Division Manager overseeing Maternal, Child and Community Health initiatives. Hassan holds a Master’s of Science degree in Epidemiology from esteemed University of Rwanda. He also undergone professional training in leadership and management of vaccination programs, enhancing his capabilities driving impactful healthcare strategies. His contributions to Rwanda’s healthcare landscape are noteworthy, for instance, Hassan played a pivotal role in introducing new vaccines into the country’s routine immunization schedule and ensuring the sustained performance of vaccination programs. His leadership was instrumental in developing the national deployment and vaccination plan for Covid-19, showcasing his strategic acumen in crisis management. His dedication and exceptional performance have not gone unnoticed, in 2021, Hassan was honored as the best employee of the year for his outstanding planning and implementation of Covid-19 responsive activities. His efforts significantly contributed to Rwanda’s success in achieving global targets for Covid-19 vaccination coverage by June 2022.
